Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had a meeting with a delegation of Nestle Pakistan led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nestle Pakistan Samer Edmond Chedid at the Finance Department today.
Chedid briefed the finance minister on the company’s footprints in providing quality food items, especially for children. He also briefed the minister on some issues facing the company and sought the government’s support, according to a brochure issued by the finance ministry.

Dar welcomed the delegation and highlighted the economic situation. He emphasized that despite the difficult economic conditions, the government is introducing reforms in various sectors of the economy. He said the government is providing an enabling environment for ease of doing business and facilitating investors.
The minister appreciated Nestle Pakistan for providing basic quality food to the population and highlighted the increase in exports of its products. Extended support and facilitation to resolve their issues as early as possible.
The meeting was attended by SAPM Finance Tariq Bajwa, SAPM Revenue Tariq Pasha and senior executives from the Finance Division and the Nestle team.
