The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has taken serious note of complaints regarding overcharging of end consumer LPG prices.
OGRA enforcement teams have been mobilized to take cognizance of the matter and ensure sale of LPG at notified prices to provide relief to end consumers and initiate action against violators as per applicable Rules/Laws.
Enforcement teams recently visited various LPG plants in Lahore and Islamabad region to check/monitor LPG prices and safety. During the visit, all LPG plants were instructed to ensure proper display of LPG prices at prominent places and ensure that they do not overcharge LPG prices to end consumers.
Further, written instructions to this effect have also been issued to all LPG plants across the country.
OGRA has also decided that law enforcement teams along with district administration will remain in the field during the current winter season to ensure sale/availability of LPG at OGRA’s notified prices.
