Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Ishaq Dar, presided over the inaugural meeting of the Reforms and Resource Mobilization Committee (RRMC) at the FBR today.
The minister highlighted the country’s economic and financial prospects. He said the government is determined to introduce reforms in various sectors to achieve economic stability and growth.
He emphasized the importance of RRMC in identifying issues and difficulties in the existing tax system and suggests reforms in existing revenue policies for resource mobilization, ease of doing business and facilitating taxpayers to achieve sustainable economic growth.

The minister urged the members to make every effort for the speedy activity of the committee to introduce tax reforms.
RRMC Chairman Ashfaq Yousuf Tola expressed his gratitude to the minister for his keen interest in informing the committee, including all stakeholders, and detailing the Terms and Conditions for comprehensive reforms.
Revenue SAPM Tariq Pasha, Chairman FBR Asim Ahmed, Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Abdul Hameed Memon, Dr. Veqar Ahmed, Mr. Ghazanfar Bilour, Ardsher Saleem Tariq and Tauqeer Ahmed attended the meeting in person while President of Pakistan Tax Bar Association Rana Munir Hussain, President of FPCCI Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Asif Haroon, Haider Ali Patel , Abdul Qadir Memon and Ziad Bashir virtually attended the meeting via Zoom.
