The RDA issues notices to marketing companies that advertise illegal housing schemes

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices to three marketing firms for advertising illegal housing.

According to an RDA spokesperson, the companies include Sky Marketing, Ghafari Marketing and

RDA Director General Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa said that advertisement of the housing schemes which do not have legal approval from RDA violates Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.

The RDA only allows the marketing and advertising of housing schemes that have received technical approval in accordance with Article 24(3) of the same rules.

It is important to note that without an NOC from the RDA, a project cannot be considered legal or approved.

The spokesman also said that the marketing and display of such illegal works deceive the general public into believing that the work is already authorized and legal.

He added that DG RDA has directed to remove all the material of these illegal schemes and warned that in case of non-compliance, RDA reserves the right to take strict action against these marketing companies as per law.
