Schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are scheduled to go on a week-long half-term holiday from February 13 to 17, marking the 1st break of the year.
Fortunately, students will enjoy nine days off due to the weekends on February 11, 12, 18 and 19. Classes will resume on February 20 (Monday).
Schools that observe holidays on the above dates include Taleem, Gems Education, Hartland International School and others with a British syllabus.
Meanwhile, American curriculum schools such as Gems Dubai American Academy and American School of Dubai will not have half-term holidays. International Baccalaureate schools such as Emirates International School will be closed for 2 days only on 13th and 14th February.
On the other hand, the academic year of Indian schools will start in April and they will have 2 weeks off at the end of March.
The February break is one of the busiest periods for the UAE’s tourism sector, with many tourists arriving in the Emirates during the European school holidays.
